Forgive Them

Black dots covers my vision from the blows
( I chose humility )

FORGIVE – My coat turns red
The knife sticks out sickeningly
A reminder of deep betrayal
( Still, I chose obedience)

The struggle within me
Like a cord around my neck
Suffocates me with great peril
When will this ever end – my lips are torn, teeth bleeding
(Or will it persist till I breathe my last? )
Oh, I pray, Help my faith!
(My humanness languishes in weak fleshly weakness)
