Just know my darling

There is so much I want to tell you, but I know circumstances would not allow me to. I will however show you though.

As you dwell in your quiet abode under the blanket of stars, always remember dear one that I am there. In each and every one of those stars, I am turning on and off those lights. That is the twinkling that you see, just like how I used to turn on the toy lights of your cot, as you smile gleefully at me. I want to see you smile the same at the night sky. I promise to return at each sunset to play with you. Don’t forget that I love you.

And when you pass by the meadows, on your way back home, remember those dandelions that you grew so fond of. Each sway of their petals is me waving at you as you go on your way to fulfill the day. Each time when you feel the sun wrapping you in a warm embrace on a cool summer day, that’s my arms engulfing you in a soft long hug. The heat is my fingers gently caressing your cheeks, the rays are my eyes noticing how much you have grown throughout the years.

When the songbird sings, that’s my song of my love for you. I am so very proud of you and adore you. There is so much I want to tell you, but I know circumstances would not allow me to.  For I am not of this world no more, but it will never hinder me from showing my love for you, regardless of which plane of the universe we both reside.

(In loving remembrance of a friend’s mom that passed away when they were at a tender age and she left them a couple of drawings of nature that they did together)

  1. I consider this to be one of your best entries so far – definitely a favorite of mine: such a poetic prose for such a lovely post.

I’m sure your friend will treasure this forever ❤
